Role Description

As Lead Test Automation Engineer at Opia Labs, you will lead end-to-end testing and QA efforts for a variety of products built on modern web and mobile technologies. As the Lead, we will count on you to select a proper framework, engage with customers for use case definitions, and implement automated testing.

Responsibilities

• Estimate testing efforts for new and existing projects with inputs from development team.

• Write and execute test cases/scenarios to verify specifications.

• Plan and automate system testing, wherever applicable.

• Define acceptance criteria for user stories.

• Document test results in a structured format using tools like Jira or Excel.

• Perform feature tests based on a thorough understanding of feature requirements and desired behavior with cross-browser compatibility testing.

• Perform responsive testing on physical devices such as mobiles and tablets.

• Create & maintain documentation, checklists and Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for application testing and regression testing

• Identifying and reporting website bugs and other functional/usability issues, in a clear and comprehensive manner which aids the development team to fix the issues

• Proactively following up with the development team, getting resolutions and tracking the issues through to closure within established timelines.

• Creating Monthly Defect Reports

• Plan and perform regular hygiene/sanity tests on developed applications

Skills

• Selenium and/or Appium experience

• Ability to create test frameworks, test suites, and test cases based upon enhancement user stories and feature specifications

• Experience with load testing

• Experience integrating test automation with CI/CD tools

• 4+ years of experience in software testing
